ASI Vice President of Finance (VPF) Textbook Grant

Overview

Purpose

Part of Associated Students, Inc.’s mission is to provide experiential education, leadership opportunities, and support services to a growing community. 

The ASI VPF Textbook Grant aims to provide financial assistance to Sacramento State students by offering a $100 textbook grant to eligible applicants. Grants are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis while funds remain available.

Applications open September 26, 2025

Applications set to close on October 3, 2025. However, application may close earlier if  funds have been exhausted.

Eligibility Requirements

  1. Applicants must be registered students (minimum undergraduate 6 units, graduate 3 units).
  2. Must provide provide proof of enrollment (via an unofficial, redacted transcript). 
  3. Must provide proof of purchase of funds requested (a substantial amount of funds requested must be for textbooks). 
  4. The proof of purchase (receipts) must be from the current academic semester.
  5. Grant payments will be made through by ASI Accounting Services, following their current financial policy policies.
  6. Applications received after the deadline WILL NOT be considered.
  7. Current and past Board Members within one year of the ASI Board of Directors are ineligible.
  8. Students may not receive more than one VPF Textbook grant award per academic year.

Guidelines

  1. Students will only be awarded the grant for textbooks, eBooks, rental textbooks, and access codes. School supplies will not be eligible.
  2. ASI is not responsible for any book(s) lost or stolen.
  3. Applications without documentation (proof of enrollment and purchase) will not be considered.
  4. The grant award will be reported to the Financial Aid as required by CSU
    policy.
