Internal ASI committees take part in decisions that affect changes in ASI directly. Most internal committees focus on figuring out where ASI’s money should go through the yearly budget, scholarships and grants.

ASI Audit Committee

This committee shall recommend to the ASI Board of Directors the retention and termination of the independent auditor. The committee shall also review and adopt the annual audit findings.

The committee shall receive and review program proposals that financially impact Associated Students.

ASI Memorial Scholarship Committee

The committee is in charge of awarding and marketing the five memorial scholarships. The Scholarships include the Shaun Lumachi, Ron Tanton, Arnulfo Lara, Chris Ramos and Bradley Bayless scholarships.  To apply for the scholarships or for more information please visit Scholarships.

ASI Scholarship Committee

The committee manages the annual ASI scholarship program. For more information please visit Scholarships.

ASI City Ambassadors

ASI Green Team

The committee will advise the University of source reduction, recycling, and other environmental activities.

The Green Team meetings are held every other Monday in the afternoon.

ASI Student Academic Senate

The Student Academic Senate shall serve in an advisory capacity to the Board of Directors pertaining to matters within the Faculty Senate and Academic Affairs that directly affects students.

ASI Student Marketing & Outreach Committee

The Student Marketing & Outreach Committee is responsible for producing and executing a student relations campaign through marketing research and promotions each semester, and when the ASI Board of Directors or the Student Marketing and Outreach deems necessary. At least one student relations campaign must be held in the fall semester and reported to the ASI Board of Directors and to the ASI Marketing Committee by the third week of the spring semester.

The Student Marketing Committee meetings are held every other Monday in the afternoon.

ASI Student Social Justice and Equity Council

Shall be responsible for presenting to the ASCSUS Board of Directors issues pertaining to social justice and equity, which may or may not be directly related to education.

ASI Wellness, Safety and Sexual Assault Awareness Committee

The Wellness, Safety and Sexual Assault Committee shall be an advisory board to the Vice President of University Affairs. It will assist in better understanding issues and support of services in the topics pertaining to student safety, wellness and sexual assault. Topics may include basic needs initiatives, mental health resources, campus safety, sexual assault prevention and raising awareness of resources that serve students dealing with any of the issues that ascertain to these subjects. The committee will also serve as a point of contact for University-wide conversations via the Sacramento State Campus Wellness Steering Group regarding students’ perspectives on wellness and safety. The committee will also work to ensure that the services and resources on campus regarding these topics are provided and available to all students, and work with relevant campus partners to ensure it.
