Sophie Sandoe
Associate Teacher
Sophie is excited to be joining the ASI Children’s Center as an Associate Teacher! Since 2022 Sophie has been working with young children of all ages, from 3-month-olds to 6-year-olds. She earned her Early Childhood Education Certificate from Butte College in 2023 and her Associate Teacher permit in 2024 and is currently pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education at American River College. Sophie comes from a Waldorf education background and loves incorporating natural materials, art, and song into the classroom. She is passionate about educating the whole child: head, heart, and hands.
One of her favorite things about working with young children is seeing the world through their eyes, and all the curiosity, joy, and wonder that comes with it.
During her spare time, Sophie enjoys being in nature, spending time with friends and family, and working on her collections of crocheted bags and stuffed animals.
