ASI Operational Updates in Response to COVID-19

As a result of the rapidly evolving coronavirus or COVID-19 pandemic, ASI has made changes to programs and services in accordance with campus policies and procedures.

Student health and safety are a top priority and we are adapting to new practices and hours until further notice. The ASI Children’s Center is currently serving families. The Center has additional State Funds for student families who qualify for state subsidies. The Center is not serving fieldwork students or observers. Guests and/or visitors are allowed in the facility by appointment only. 

ASI Peak Adventures Bike Shop and outdoor gear rental counter are open. Outdoor trips and Challenge Center programs have been postponed until further notice.  

The Sac State Aquatic Center is open for Equipment Rentals, by appointment/reservation.  Please visit the Sacramento State Aquatic Center website for more information. 

The ASI Food Pantry remains open limited days and hours and offers pre-packed bags for students with a OneCard. 

KSSU Radio is canceling all in-person DJ services. KSSU will continue to stream at www.kssu.com.

Safe Rides is currently on hold and looking to return for Fall 2020.

The ASI Business Office will be closed for in-person services, but can be reached by phone or email for all services. Effective 3/23/2020, the ASI Business Office will no longer offer check pick-up services. All checks will be mailed. 

The ASI Student Shop will be closed until further notice. Cap and gowns can be purchased here. For honor cord eligibility please email jeanrubysanchez@csus.edu. 

ASI Student Government  meetings will take place on video Zoom with an additional phone-only option.  We anticipate that most ASI Internal and University committees will be active in the fall 2020 semester and are currently seeking representation.   Meetings will be held virtually via Zoom.  Interested students should submit a committee interest form. Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA or Act)
Effective April 1, 2020 through December 31, 2020, the FAMILIES FIRST CORONAVIRUS RESPONSE ACT (FFCRA or Act) provides employees with paid sick leave and expanded family and medical leave for specified reasons related to COVID-19. Please note leave is taken when work is available and the employee cannot work or telework due to COVID reasons.  For more information visit our HR page. 

ASI benefited employees have access to the MetLife Employee Assistance Program which offers support and resources for a variety of life needs including complimentary counseling sessions, phone, and online resources, e-learning opportunities, and free legal and financial consultation.
