ASI Operational Updates in Response to COVID-19

As a result of the rapidly evolving coronavirus or COVID-19 pandemic, ASI has made changes to programs and services in accordance with campus policies and procedures.

Student health and safety are a top priority and we are adapting to new practices and hours until further notice.

The ASI Children’s Center will be closed for childcare until further notice. The Children’s Center front office is staffed to answer phone calls and reply to emails.

ASI Peak Adventures trips and Challenge Center programs have been cancelled through May 20. The Peak Adventures office and bike shop will be closed pending further notice. 

The Sac State Aquatic Center will be closed to the public through May 1, 2020, pending further notice.  

The ASI Food Pantry remains open limited days and hours and offers only pre-packed bags for students with a OneCard. All ASI Pop Up Pantry Events have been canceled for the rest of the academic year.

KSSU Radio is canceling all DJ services and asking DJs not to hold their shows. KSSU will continue to stream at www.kssu.com.

Safe Rides has stopped issuing reimbursements until further notice.

The ASI Business Office will be closed until further notice. Effective 3/23/2020, the ASI Business Office will no longer offer check pick-up services. All checks will be mailed. 

The ASI Student Shop will be closed until further notice. Please purchase all caps and gowns here. 

ASI Student Government  meetings will take place on Zoom with a phone-only option. ASI Elections will go fully virtual with all events held on Zoom, and posted on social media. All DOC meetings will be cancelled for the balance of the spring semester. No further funding will be allocated.

Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA or Act)
Effective April 1, 2020 through December 31, 2020, the FAMILIES FIRST CORONAVIRUS RESPONSE ACT (FFCRA or Act) provides employees with paid sick leave and expanded family and medical leave for specified reasons related to COVID-19. Please note leave is taken when work is available and the employee cannot work or telework due to COVID reasons.  For more information visit our HR page. 

ASI benefited employees have access to the MetLife Employee Assistance Program which offers support and resources for a variety of life needs including complimentary counseling sessions, phone, and online resources, e-learning opportunities, and free legal and financial consultation.
