Alma Ponce
Retired Honoree
Alma Ponce had been with the ASI Children’s Center from 1983 –
2020….37 years of service! She was the Mentor Teacher for the
Preschool Fellowship program and molded hundreds of young lives –
both children and her student staff. Countless kids who once
attended have grown up and have stopped by just to see their
favorite teacher from childhood. Alma worked a project approach
system in her classroom, and sometimes incorporated her pet
turtle, Sofie, into lessons. We were so lucky and honored to have
such a dedicated teacher, mentor, employee, and friend here at
the Center. Please join us in thanking Teacher Alma for all her
