Jagdish Kaur Majju started working with at the Children’s Center during Fall 2017. She is a first-generation college graduate and completed two Bachelor’s degrees from U.C. Davis in Human Development (B.S) and Women/Gender Studies (B.A.). Jagdish graduated with a Master’s degree in Child Development here at Sacramento State while working at the Children’s Center. She has worked in the early childhood field for the past 8 years in different capacities such as interning, researching curriculum with low-income families, and teaching young children from toddlers to school-age. Jagdish believes that the ASI Children’s Center is where she found her true foundation for early childhood education!
Jagdish is especially passionate about this career with ASI because of the close-knit connections she can develop with the children, families, and student staff. Jagdish really believes in the Children’s Center mission of being an extension of the family for the children and providing the highest quality of care. She truly believes in the quote “Every child needs at least one adult who is irrationally crazy about him or her”, by Bronfenbrenner. Jagdish additionally enjoys being able to coach college students with hands on experience in the field to give them the necessary skill-sets for their futures. Jagdish enjoys hiking, taking long walks with her dog, getting lost in a good novel, and spending time with family and friends during her spare time!
