Student Engagement & Outreach

Overview

The purpose of Student Engagement and Outreach (SEO) is to provide holistic student-centered programs and services that enhance student life and create lasting memories through community engagement, connection building, and creative exploration.

SEO’s outreach and programs KSSU Student Run Radio Station, Safe Rides, the Food Pantry, and the A-Team offer opportunities that will assist students with personal growth, developing civic responsibility, embracing differences, and establishing connections within the campus and surrounding community.

A-Team: Events, Promotion, Communication, and Outreach

The A-Team is comprised of event planners, graphic designers, and communications & outreach staff who work together to coordinate and promote various activities and programs that enhance campus life.

Some of the annual events that take place each year are the Block Party, Election Kick-Off, Thanksgiving Food Basket Drive, and Farmworkers Awareness Week.

Hornet Events and Activities Team (HEAT)

Sign Up for HEAT

HEAT provides support to the ASI event and outreach team during events, programs, and promotion in order to engage with more students and reach a bigger audience. HEAT helps to support ASI events and programs such as Block Party, Thanksgiving Food Baskets, Election Kick Off, Feel Good Fundays and more! Get involved with HEAT by signing up for an event or program. Submissions will be emailed about upcoming opportunities, volunteer perks and our appreciation party!

A-Team Project Requests

The ASI A-Team houses both the outreach and event planners for ASI. The outreach component consists of students who specialize in graphics (print design), communications (social media, e-newsletters), and outreach (tabling, giveaways, promotion).
