ASI Peak Adventures
Outdoor Clinic: Backpacking Nutrition
Wednesday, SEPT. 15 | 12:00-12:30pm
You don’t need to sacrifice taste or quality when cooking in the backcountry! Come learn a delicious recipe for your next backpacking adventure. This is a free virtual clinic about backcountry cooking. All participants walk away with useful knowledge, and a recipe they can try on their next trip. Activity level 1. Bouldering Shuttle
Thursday, SEPT. 16 | 2:00-6:00pm
Craving to get outdoors and try something new? Whether you’re a beginner or expert climber, Deer Creek Park in Rocklin has a variety of boulders to climb, ranging from V easy to V10. We’ll provide the ride and the gear, you do the climbing. Activity Level 2. The minimum age is 18 or current Sac State student. This is a Leadership Initiative approved event. This trip includes bouldering gear and transportation.

Fun Friday: Yoga Hike Friday, September 17 l 4:00-6:00pm
Yoga is about more than just stretching. Come integrate nature into your practice on this yoga hike. Come have fun and explore Sac State’s backyard trails with outdoor yoga and hiking. Come get bendy, meet new people, and enjoy nature. Activity level 1. The minimum age is 18 or current Sac State student.This is a Leadership Initiative approved event.Trip includes trip leaders and equipment.

ASI Food Pantry
ASI Free Groceries Pop-Up
MONDAY, SEPT. 13 | 10:00am-1:30pm | Library
Quad
The Free Groceries Pop-Up is a service of the ASI Food Pantry. In
an effort to provide healthier eating options, ASI has partnered
with the Central Downtown Food Basket to distribute fresh produce
at no cost to Sac State students in need. The event is
located on the Library Quad.

SPEED FRIENDING
THURSDAY, SEPT. 16 | 12pm-2pm in
Foothill Suite
Looking to meet new friends? Hang out with fellow Sac State
students at KSSU’s annual Speed Friending. Presented by KSSU,
Sacramento State’s student run radio station, join us for a fun
afternoon of getting to know who is who in the Foothill
Suite in University Union. Who knows, you might even meet
your new best friend! We will give away two Peak Adventures day
trip to two lucky students during this event. RSVP for the event

Download the worksheet and get started on this exciting ASI
scavenger hunt. Bring your completed worksheet to SEO before 4pm,
September 21, 2021 to exchange for an ASI t-shirt. We are
giving away 65 shirts to celebrate ASI’s 65th Anniversary this
year! We also have an at-home/virtual edition of the
worksheet for students who are learning remotely this semester.

Sac State Aquatic Center
AQUATIC CENTER FREE RENTAL DAYS!
We are offering free rentals Monday – Friday 8am – 8pm for all
Current Sac State Students. Students can rent Kayaks, Canoes, and
Stand up Paddle boards. Reservations are required a head of time
for the rentals, so visit our website HERE
at to claim your account and to find out more information.
Step by Step Process:
Step 1: Visit sacstateaquaticcenter.com – click on the “Register Online” button
Step 2: Once on the log in screen – click on the “claim existing account”. To be identified as a student, you must use their CSUS e-mail. If you need assistance claiming your account they can call 916-278-2842 and our staff will assist you.
Step 3: Once you have claimed your account and you have logged in – click on “reservations”
Step 4: Select your date and time. Keep in mind you only need one reservation time per group of 5 people.
Step 5: Select the time you want to check in for your rental and continue to add it to your cart. You should not be charged the $10 fee, if the system is charging you call 916-278-2842. Once you complete the transaction make sure to check your e-mail for a confirmation and the e-mail waivers.
Step 6: The reservation process is complete, now you just need to show up at your check in time and don’t forget your face covering!
