The Children’s Center is currently serving families. The Center has additional state funds for student families who qualify for state subsidies.

The Center is not serving fieldwork students or observers. Guests and/or visitors are allowed in the facility by appointment only.

The waiting list for Spring and Fall 2021 opened Monday, August 3.  Please email your application to

The ASI Children’s Center serves as a family support service for Sacramento State students by providing child care programming. Enrollment priority is given to Sac State students, and then opened to the rest of the Sac State community (staff/faculty). Accredited by the NAEYC, the Children’s Center is an exemplary program which models current principles and practice in child development. The Children’s Center serves as a home-oriented environment to meet a child’s emotional, physical, intellectual and social growth needs. The Children’s Center promotes educational experiences in the area of early childhood education by employing a large number of Sacramento State students.

Center Closure

The Center will be closed on Wednesday, November 11, 2020.

The Children’s Center operates a variety of classrooms for children ages thirteen months through Kindergarten. All classrooms accommodate flexible scheduling for the convenience of the family. Learn more about our classrooms here. Ages served, classroom configurations, and hours of operation may vary during Summer and Winter sessions.
