Our Mission
The ASI Food Pantry exists to provide food and basic necessities
to Sac State students with financial hardships and
low food security, at no cost. In addition to helping
alleviate hunger within our student community, the ASI Food
Pantry aims to decrease the negative impact that
low food security has on the academic success of our
students.
Eligibility, First-Timers
Currently enrolled Sac State students can shop
at the ASI Food Pantry or place a locker
order once per week.
At your first visit, you will need to bring your
physical OneCard and complete our New User
Registration Form, which helps us better understand your
needs and provide referrals to other great campus resources.
Watch our welcome
video and see what our space looks like!
Location (University Union)
The ASI Food Pantry has its own outside entrance on the north
side of the University Union, separate from the rest of the 1st
floor. Look for the ramp leading down to the ASI Food Pantry door
and enter through the north side of the building (alleyway
between the Union and Santa Clara Hall).

Saalt Menstrual Cups, Discs, and Underwear
In April 2023, the ASI Food Pantry launched a pilot
program to provide free reusable menstrual product to Sac State
students. This pilot program was made possible by Student Affairs
grant funding. Our staff taught 286 students how to use, clean,
and store the products through in-person demos, tabling events,
and at the
2023 Sac State Earth Day Sustainability Fair. We
will update this page when we purchase more reusable menstrual
products for distribution. For more information, please contact
asi-foodpantry@csus.edu or
by calling (916) 278-3978.
A big thank you to Saalt, a
certified B-corp that creates sustainable period underwear
and reusable period cups & discs, who was our partner in creating
educational
materials, program planning, and product distribution. More
information about their products and mission here.
