The Office of Governmental Affairs (OGA) provides advocacy support for Sacramento State students on behalf of the ASI Board of Directors.
OGA informs students on the various issues in California regarding higher education and advocates on their behalf at the State’s Capitol. OGA offers students leadership development, local and statewide internship referrals, on campus internship opportunities, and volunteer opportunities.
OGA organizes voter registration and education as a non-partisan group.

The California State Student Association provides a unified voice for over 430,000 students in the California State University system. The Association represents each of the system’s 23 campuses, which range in diversity from the northern California redwood campus of Humboldt State University to the southernmost campus of San Diego State University.
City Ambassadors is a program of the Office of Governmental Affairs and is comprised of Sacramento State students dedicated to bringing awareness to higher education issues, advocating on behalf of students, and registering students to vote in the state and national elections.
The Sac State Lobby Corps is the advocacy branch of ASI and serves as a policy analysis and advisory committee to the ASI Board of Directors. It is comprised of Sacramento State students who lobby at the local, state, and federal levels.
