The ASI Food Pantry exists to provide food and basic necessities to Sac State students with financial hardships or food insecurity, at no cost. In addition to helping alleviate hunger within our student community, the ASI Food Pantry aims to decrease the impact that food insecurities have on the academic success of our students.
The goal of Safe Rides is to prevent incidents related to drinking and driving that lead to accidents, DUI/DWI arrests, and death.
Due to COVID- 19, ASI will temporarily expand the program criteria to allow students to claim reimbursements from anywhere in the United States. In addition, the Safe Rides operational hours will be temporarily expanded to 24 hours/day while classes are in session. The temporary measure will provide Sac State students an option of safe transportation to go to doctor’s appointment, grocery store, or visiting a family member during the pandemic. Sac State students will be reimbursed up to a total of $20 each semester (while funds last) for rides they have taken.
