Candidate Statement:
Hello, I am Arinav Chanday and I am a junior at Sac State. I am running for the Director of Business. Over the time I have spent in sac state, I have had a fortune of serving as an orientation leader and welcoming new hornets to Sac State.
I also work as a Workshop Leader for the Peer and Academic Resource Center (PARC). And apart from that I am also currently serving as the President of Cricket club.
Through these experiences I have learned that leadership is not about titles, it’s about service. It’s about honestly fulfilling your duty and making sure every student feels seen, heard and supported. My top priority is to strengthen opportunity and support within the college of business. I am ready to serve. I am ready to lead. And I am ready to represent you.

Candidate Statement:
Hello, my name is Athena Singh, and I am running for the Director of Business.
Through my work as a Front Desk Attendant at The WELL, I have learned how important it is for students to be aware of and connected to campus resources. Every day, I speak with students who are looking for support or help finding the right resources. I also attend campus events and am familiar with the many centers and services available, which has helped me better understand how we can support students across campus.
I also work as a Student Assistant for Marketing in the Theatre and Dance Program, where I have developed strong communication and outreach skills. Before transferring to Sac State, I served as a Student Senator at Cosumnes River College, where I represented students and advocated for their needs. These experiences have prepared me to listen carefully and take action.
I am someone who does not ignore problems. If I see or hear that something is not working for students, I want to address it and help find a solution. As Director of Business, I will work to strengthen communication between students and leadership, support business clubs through collaboration and the Business Club Union, and make sure student concerns are brought forward in conversations with the College of Business. My goal is to help business students make the most of their college experience while also setting themselves up for long-term success.
I would truly appreciate your support. Please consider voting on April 22 or April 23.
