Candidate Statement:

Hello outstanding Business Students!

My name is Juliette Lopez and I served as your ASI Director of Business during the 2024-2025 academic year and I hope you allow me the privilege to do it again. I am so proud of what we have been able to accomplish as a College and admire the dedication and community we have built together.

As your director, I have put students first, attended a number of events, and got to meet a good amount of you lovely and driven individuals. I have learned a lot as your director and want only the best for you all.

I promise to continue my mission of being engaged, optimistic, and student focused. I have had the honor of getting to know your wants, wishes, and desires for Sac State and hope that you can continue your trust in me to stand up and represent all business students. I myself am the president of a business club, an honors student, and work on campus. I understand the dedication it takes to be a full time Sac State student that also must balance outside responsibilities.

I am already familiar with the Director of Business position so I can push for an even better business student experience starting on day one. I will be sure to advocate for you and to work with my fellow ASI Board members to ensure a safe, happy, and welcoming campus.

With my experience in ASI, attention to detail, and dedication to the College of Business, I hope that I can earn your vote and continue to serve as your Director of Business.

Stingers up!

Candidate Statement:

Hello, my name is Tinkal Ambaliya, and I am running for the position of Director of Business. Over the past year, I had the privilege of serving as the Director of Undeclared Students, where I worked to bridge the gap between undeclared students and the University. I also contributed to key ASI internal committees and university committees, gaining valuable experience in student advocacy and governance.

My top priorities as Director of Business will be to create clearer pathways for business students to engage more deeply with faculty and campus life. I aim to expand scholarship opportunities that support academic success and enhance flexible advising for undeclared business students, ensuring they receive the right guidance in choosing their major. Additionally, I am committed to promoting programs that celebrate diverse backgrounds, fostering an inclusive environment for all students. I will also ensure that all student voices are heard and well-represented within the ASI Board, fostering an environment of transparency and inclusiveness.

As a first-generation student from a conservative family, my journey has been one of determination and resilience. Today, I stand with confidence and enthusiasm, ready to continue serving and supporting my fellow students. My goal is to build an environment where every business student feels empowered, informed, and supported in their academic journey. I am committed to advocating for your needs and ensuring that ASI decisions reflect our collective voice.

“Be the Change.” On April 16 and 17, I ask for your support. Together, we can build a stronger, more inclusive future for the business community at Sac State. Thank you for the opportunity to serve you.

Best regards,

Tinkal Ambaliya
