ASI Peak Adventures
Outdoor Clinic: Backpacking Nutrition
Wednesday, SEPT. 15 | 12:00-12:30pm
You don’t need to sacrifice taste or quality when cooking in the backcountry! Come learn a delicious recipe for your next backpacking adventure. This is a free virtual clinic about backcountry cooking. All participants walk away with useful knowledge, and a recipe they can try on their next trip. Activity level 1. Intro to Climbing
Saturday, SEPT. 17 | 8:00am-5:00pm
On Belay! If you’ve always wanted to try this exciting sport, but didn’t know how to get started, look no further! Designed for the adventurous beginner, this all-day course provides an introduction to outdoor climbing. We’ll cover the basics: knot tying, belaying, general equipment use, etiquette, and basic climbing techniques. While this course is focused on the beginner, intermediate climbers will also learn valuable techniques to help you climb smarter and safer! Activity level 2. The minimum age is 18 or current Sac State student.
This is a Leadership Initiative approved event.
Trip includes instruction by Peak Adventures climbing staff, transportation, and all climbing gear.

Sac State Affiliate: $90.00
General: $100.00

ASI Food Pantry
ASI Free Groceries Pop-Up
MONDAY, SEPT. 12 | 10:00am-1:30pm | Library
Quad
The Free Groceries Pop-Up is a service of the ASI Food Pantry. In
an effort to provide healthier eating options, ASI has partnered
with the Central Downtown Food Basket to distribute fresh produce
at no cost to Sac State students in need. The event is
located on the Library Quad.

Come join ASI for an afternoon to kick back and meet some fellow

AQUATIC CENTER FREE RENTAL DAYS!
FRIDAY, Sept 16 | 8:00am-6:00pm | Aquatic Center (1901 Hazel
Ave)
We are offering free rentals Monday – Friday 8am – 8pm for all
Current Sac State Students. Students can rent Kayaks, Canoes, and
Stand up Paddle boards. We can’t wait to see you on the
water!
