How to donate in-person (STARTING NOVEMBER 1ST, 2026)

The new process:
The Sacramento State Office of University Advancement – VP Office will be the new cash/check donation drop-off location.

Building: Sacramento Hall 1st Floor, Room #162, open Mon-Fri except Tuesdays, from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

University Advancement processes the donation on behalf of ASI through the established Sacramento State/University Foundation process. 

ASI will receive a notification/documentation of the donation and when the funds are transferred to the ASI Food Pantry.

How to donate food and toiletries

• We are accepting donations of:

  • Home-grown fresh fruits and vegetables from your backyard or garden.
  • Non-perishable foods such as spices, seasonings, ready-to-eat meals, and boxed foods.
  • Toiletries such as shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, toothbrushes, and deodorant.
  • Menstrual Products such as pads, tampons, and liners.
  • Refrigerated and frozen items (ask us first so we can plan fridge space!)
  • Amazon Wish List: you can send donations directly to the ASI Food Pantry!
• ​We CANNOT accept:
  • Opened, expired, or pre-cooked items.

  • ​We are located on the 1st floor of the University Union at Sacramento State. Enter through the north side of the building (alleyway between the Union and Santa Clara Hall).
  • Google Maps to the ASI Food Pantry Entrance.
