Hunger is rising in California.

More than 75% of the ASI Food Pantry's yearly food inventory from the Sacramento Food Bank has been lost due to state budget cuts.

Post

The ASI Food Pantry has always been a space that welcomes and empowers Sac State students facing hunger.

Since 2015, we have helped thousands of Hornets graduate and succeed in the journey of life. This year, amidst CalFresh cuts affecting 395,000 households in California and a 4-week government shutdown delaying November food assistance dollars, we are helping raise $21,000 by November 28th to keep this holiday season festive and lively.

We’re looking for donations to help buy healthy and nutritious Thanksgiving food items for the entire month of November and hosting two sit-down community meals for students unable to return for the holidays!

Let’s keep the ASI Food Pantry legacy strong and our Sac State community thriving!

You may leave:

  • A stated specific dollar amount
  • A percentage of your residual estate (what remains after gifts to loved ones and expenses have been paid), or
  • A specific asset, such as securities, retirement plans, life insurance, or other marketable property
