A message from your ASI President

The effect of the coronavirus (COVID-19) within our community has impacted us all

Post Sabrina Charleston Denisse Garcia, ASI President

Fellow Hornets,

ASI’s core purpose is to serve as the recognized voice of Sacramento State students. As your ASI President, I am reaching out to you in solidarity to share a message—directly from a fellow student.

I recognize that the last few weeks have been hard for all of us, not only as students, but in our varied personal roles as siblings, parents, and caretakers.  We all serve so many roles in our lives.

However, the effect of the coronavirus (COVID-19) within our community has impacted us all and it has been difficult to navigate all of the information coming to us from different sources.

Many colleges and universities are transitioning courses to online delivery; not as a reactionary measure, but as a precautionary one.  Sacramento State is one of those campuses keeping students’ well-being at the forefront.

During these rapidly changing times, we must come together and support one another. Not only as fellow Hornets, but as human beings.

As students, it is also important for us to know and understand the facts so that we can address the impact the virus may have on our community. It is my hope that the following resources will help you learn more about the coronavirus (COVID-19) so we can all be aware of possible risk factors. Here is a list of helpful information:
