The effect of the coronavirus (COVID-19) within our community has impacted us all
Fellow Hornets,
ASI’s core purpose is to serve as the recognized voice of Sacramento State students. As your ASI President, I am reaching out to you in solidarity to share a message—directly from a fellow student.
I recognize that the last few weeks have been hard for all of us, not only as students, but in our varied personal roles as siblings, parents, and caretakers. We all serve so many roles in our lives.
ASI Operational Updates in Response to COVID-19

As a result of the rapidly evolving coronavirus or COVID-19 pandemic, ASI has made changes to programs and services in accordance with campus policies and procedures.
Student health and safety are a top priority and we are adapting to new practices and hours until further notice. ASI Board of Directors Update
Associated Students, Inc. Sacramento State(ASI) president Christian Miguel Landaverde and ASI executive vice president Jennifer Gross have resigned their positions for personal reasons effective immediately.
Landaverde and Gross were elected by the student body in Spring 2019 to serve as ASI President and Executive Vice President for the 2019-2020 academic year. Vice President of Finance Denisse Garcia will serve as ASI president for the remainder of the term and Donna Walters, current vice-chair of the Board, will serve as interim executive vice president.
Resources For Students Facing Food Insecurity
The ASI Food Pantry was created in
2015 to support the growing number of students faced with
food insecurity, the state of being without reliable access to a
sufficient quantity of affordable, nutritious food. The ASI Food
Pantry works alongside the CARES office to support
Sacramento State students in need.
