Colleen McEneany
Head Teacher
Colleen is excited to partake in the comradery by joining the ASI Children’s Center. She comes from a varied background, having received her B.S. in Criminal Administration of Justice in 2002 from Cal State Univ. East Bay. She worked in the criminal justice field as an investigator for several years. Prior, she was invested in journalism and marketing.
Taylor Ogden
Head Teacher
Taylor began working at the Children Center in Fall 2024 as an Assistant Teacher in the La Casita 2 room. She is a Sacramento State graduate, having earned her B.A. in Communications in 2016 and earned and M.A. in Early Childhood Education from Pacific Oaks College 3 years later. Taylor loves playing with children, reading with them to help build their vocabulary, and doing art projects with them and is always amazed with how creative they can be and how their minds work.
Anely Rangel-Ramirez
Associate Teacher
Anely has been working with children from infancy to preschool age since 2017. In 2019, she received her A.S. in Early Childhood Education from Reedley College. She then went on to graduate from Fresno State in 2024 with a B.S. in Child and Family Science. Anely has experience working at college campus childcare centers, where she has served as a mentor to students earning their practicum hours. While working at Fresno State’s Programs for Children, she gained experience with the Reggio Emilia approach. Anely is also familiar with the Montessori method from her previous program.
Barbara Rogers
Cook
At age 21, Chef Barbara embarked on her culinary journey, contributing to the opening of the first Zocalo location. Her experience includes working at renowned establishments such as Sellands and David Berkely, as well as learning the art of sushi rolling from the esteemed Chef Billy Ngo of Kru. For a decade, Chef Barbara honed her skills at the Sacramento Convention Center, mastering large-scale catering. She contributed to cooking meals for the governors State of the State address, World Cheese Expo and getting to meet Chef Alice Waters of the school food program The Edible Garden.
Natalie Rueb
Associate Teacher
Natalie began working at the ASI Children’s Center in Spring 2022 as a Student Assistant II in La Casita 2 and is excited to begin her role as an Associate Teacher in Casa 2. Her time in La Casita 2 has taught her many important skills such as creating meaningful relationships with students that center around their interests and natural curiosity for learning, fostering a positive classroom environment that prioritizes building community, and keeping a healthy and safe environment for children to learn and grow.
Sophie Sandoe
Associate Teacher
Sophie is excited to be joining the ASI Children’s Center as an Associate Teacher! Since 2022 Sophie has been working with young children of all ages, from 3-month-olds to 6-year-olds. She earned her Early Childhood Education Certificate from Butte College in 2023 and her Associate Teacher permit in 2024 and is currently pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education at American River College. Sophie comes from a Waldorf education background and loves incorporating natural materials, art, and song into the classroom.
Teri Weesner
Associate Teacher
Teri is so happy to join Teacher Sam in Bambini 1 and help the children grow and learn through play and the daily activities of the classroom. She can see what a wonderful and high quality early learning center this is and appreciates that so much. Teri ran a Playcare classroom at Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services for families who were learning English as a second language, and was also a former Youth Services Librarian in the Sacramento Public Library System. She is committed to early childhood education and supporting each child where they are in their development.
