Osayi “Eden” Aghedo
Associate Teacher
Eden began her journey with children in 2015 before becoming a mother to her daughter Emma in 2016. She attended a small private school in Stockton California called Humphrey’s University and completed an AA and BA in Early Childhood Education and Administration. Since graduating, she has taught infants and toddlers, preschool and transitional kindergarten for a few schools in the Bay Area. She moved from Stockton to Sacramento in October 2023 and has just started teaching in the La Casita 1 room!
Esmeralda Alvarez
Associate Teacher
Esme began working at the Children’s Center Fall of 2020 as a Student Assistant II in Bambini 2. Since then, she has worked in all of the Bambini classrooms. Working in all Bambini classrooms has allowed her to see the differences between the different ages. She has also gained/developed experience and skills that have become useful when working with the children and as a supervisor in the classroom. Esme graduated spring 2024 with her B.A.
Anna Bean
Associate Teacher
Anna has a passion for working in Early Childhood Education. She started working at the ASI Children’s Center in Summer 2021 as a Student Assistant. She progressed through other roles at the center, gaining experience as a Student Supervisor. In May 2024, she obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She is excited to join the team as an Associate Teacher! Anna has experience working with children of varying ages from toddlers and preschoolers to school aged children during her time working at an afterschool program. During her free time Anna loves to do art.
Nancy Fimbrez
Associate Teacher
Nancy is excited to be joining the ASI Sacramento State University Children’s Center community! She has been devoted to the field of Early Childhood Education since 2015. Nancy obtained her B.S. in Child and Family Development from San Diego State University (2017) and her M.S. in Early Childhood Inclusive Education from Portland State University (2024). The foundation of her teaching is centered around inclusion, connections, and collaboration. She believes everyone is a teacher with diverse knowledge and experiences to contribute to our learning community.
